Praise and Prayer for God's Saints Under Persecution

Prayering_2 This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!

I am so glad to be back today, yesterday was probably one of the busiest days of my life and I didn't have the time to update you.  So today we've got news, prayer requests and hopefully some encouragement for you!

Let us begin with a few prayer requests from our friends at VOM Canada (Hi Glenn :))  Today I really want to focus on two precious saints that need our prayers.

Pastor Missing in Hyderabad, India

When Pastor K. Chandra Paul was traveling away from home, he made it a regular habit to call home every hour. Thus, when he left home on January 28 for prayer and ministry, he kept regular contact until January 30. His family has not heard from him since. After waiting four days, the family contacted police who advised them to check with friends and family. Finally on February 13, a missing person's report was filed with the police. There has been no sign of Pastor Paul or his motorcycle. In light of the violent deaths of two other pastors in the area in June 2005 (see See Story), there is concern for his safety.

Pray for Pastor Paul's family during this time. Pray that they will be able to rest in the Lord, knowing that the Lord never forsakes His own. Pray that there will be full cooperation from the police. For more information on the persecution facing India's Christians, go to this page.

I can't even begin to imagine the heartache this family is going through not knowing where Pastor Paul.  Please add him and his family to your prayer sheets and pass it on.

PRAISE REPORT: Update on Beaten Ethiopian Evangelist

On January 11, the Persecution and Prayer Alert reported on an Ethiopian evangelist who was badly beaten and left for dead on the road near the town of Meki, south of Addis Ababa (see full story ). Recently The Voice of the Martyrs learned that Brother Aman is out of hospital and already actively resuming his call of preaching the Word of God. The story of Aman is a fascinating account of the grace of God at work. To read the full report, go here.

So your prayers are at work, and the Living God of Glory is on the Throne answering them.  Praise His holy name!
