Pick a Restricted Nation to Pray For

 What better time than a new year to start a new habit of praying for the persecuted church and those who live in restricted nations.  I would like to ask you to join me in picking out at least one restricted nation from our Restricted Nations page and commit yourself and challenge yourself every day, to pray for that nation.

Or if you like some variety in your prayer life, why not pick twelve different nations to pray for this year. Regardless of the number you choose, your prayers will make a difference in the lives of those who are being persecuted for following Jesus Christ.

I have chosen to focus on Libya this month.  As we know, the leader of Libya is a dictator and follows Islam.  Won't you join me in praying for his salvation?

Libyans are off limits for evangelism. A number of expatriates are seeking to reach Libyans, but they are hindered by the country’s secret police network. Christian literature may enter only through secretive means. There are very few Libyan believers; almost all Christians are foreign workers and the government strictly monitors them. There is a limit of one church per denomination per city. Despite the restrictions, VOM makes the gospel message available in Libya though radio and the Internet.
