Persecution Blog Carnival #11
It's FRIDAY!!! Which means it's time to fellowship together and share with one another what we've been learning this week about Christian persecution. Special thanks to all of you who have participated this week...now on with the show!
Our first entry is from my buddy Jordan at The Acton Institute's Power Blog called "Calvin's Theology and the Chinese Church" which gives insights into the contemporary situation in the Chinese Church from Dr. Yi Sun, associate professor in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Renmin University in Beijing.
Our next entry is from The Princess and the Little Guy who writes about the martyrdom of Stephen.
Our third interview comes from frequent contributor Barb who blogs at Tidbits & Treasures called Last Church Pressured to Close . Barb describes her post this way, "The last church, Batu Zaman Baptist Church, in Bandung, Indonesia, is being forced to close because the Muslims object to the church, although the community had previously supported them."
New contributor to our persecution blog team, Toby, who writes at UNRECONSTRUCTED, reminds us of a very old news article, written in December 2005 in The Washington Times, called Christian Persecution Growing.
Our next post comes from Prayer Blog & Prayer Requests who shares with us a reminder to write to prisoners who are being persecuted for their faith in Christ.
Bible Truth Online submits to us this week, a post called Christian Persecution in Indonesia, which
describes Noviana Malewa, the only girl to escape the malicious beheadings that took place in Indonesia on October 29, 2005, in Central Sulawesi, will receive treatment from VOMedical.
Our next entry comes from Cindy, our buddy who blogs at Inspiration Korner, in which she writes about More Persecution for Indian States and describes her post as a news article about So-called "Religious Freedom" bills that have been passed in the Indian states of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh with the expressed intent of stopping people from receiving Jesus Christ as their Savior. This news article was taken from Gospel Of Asia.
And our final entry is from Shane who blogs at The High Places, taking last weeks blog challenge, and writing a post called I Want to Be Like Daniel.
Thanks again! Have a nice weekend!
