Orphanage Owner Detained in Connection to Deadly Bombing
In a story on The Christian Post today titled Burma Christian Persecution: Orphanage Owner Detained in Connection to Deadly Bombing we read that the owner of an orphanage, Dayaung Tangoon, was detained for allegedly throwing a grenade at his orphanage.
According to the Christian Post, the state sponsored media in Burma is reporting this. However, residents in the area of Kachin State are denying that the owner had anything to do with bombing his orphanage, as he was apparently traveling with a group of Christian pastors at the time the bomb exploded.
Tangoon's own grandchild, two sons and four orphans, as well as three other people who had left the town nearby because of fighting, were reportedly killed in the bombing.
The article goes on to reveal that Tangoon's wife was also injured in the blast and is recovering in the hospital and not able to have visitors.
Christians are under attack all throughout Burma, and this sad story is just one example of many. Please keep Tangoon and his wife in your prayers during this difficult time. Pray for the protection of Christians all through out Burma.
