Muslims Spit Out Holy Communion

Almost seven years ago my mother died and today I was reminded of the day she took communion when she was baptized into Christ Jesus.  She was buried with Christ and rose to walk in newness of life with Him. (Romans 7)  It must have been a glorious moment in heaven when that happened.  And while I did not get to witness my mother's baptism because she wanted only a few people there, I was blessed recently to get some photos of her being baptized that made me cry when I saw them.

In order to understand why they made me cry, you need to know I prayed for close to 25 years for my mom to come to faith in Jesus Christ, so it was a glorious moment knowing that finally she was at peace and that she had accepted what Jesus did for her on the cross.  That is one reason why we must never forget to take communion seriously, because those precious elements represent the lifeblood and body of our dear Jesus.

Well, I have to tell you that as I was reading this article Muslims Desecrate Sacred Host, my heart ached.  And to be honest, it still aches because these dear ones do not have a clue what they have done.  Here's part of the story for you.

Because of such blatant violations over the years, Christians are beginning to echo the words of Jesus Christ, when he said, “If I have spoken wrongly, testify to the wrong. But if I have spoken rightly, why do you strike me?” (Jn 18:23).

And so some Christians have lodged police reports recently at the Police Stations around the country against the offensive behaviour of some Muslims who have hurt the Christians deeply. The story of this behaviour was highlighted by Al-Islam of May 2009, with the headlines; Mencari kesahihan remaja Melayu murtad, pages 28-30.

These Muslims consumed the “Holy Communion” and spat out the sacred host. They humiliated the Catholics by having it photographed and its image published in the monthly Al-Islam. This is a violation of Christians in Malaysia and challenges the nation's Federal Constitution. Is Malaysia a secure land where all religions can practice their religion in peace and tranquility? Will the police (PDRM) and AG’s chambers bring those Muslims to court? As guardians of just laws will they carry out their noble task and honour the Law of our nation Malaysia? This desecration speaks against the 1Malaysia project of the Prime Minister.

Please dear ones, please take a moment to pray for those who are in bondage to Islam and who do not understand the great love Jesus Christ has for them.  And I also want to encourage you to remember to take seriously communion when you remember the blood and body of Jesus Christ.  It is a holy act for us to remember the only truly holy man who was God on earth.
