Muslims Can’t Stop Persecuted Christians from Worshipping

Have you ever wondered what would cause you to stop worshipping the one true Living God?  I have to admit that there have been times in my life when I have felt so angry at God that I didn't feel like worshipping Him, and even thought about throwing in my faith all together.  In fact, there was one time I was so mad that I even ripped up my bible, threw it across the room, kicked it and then jumped up and down on it.  I was really angry at God for things out of my control, and yet what I've learned after all of these years is that our faith, thankfully, isn't based in our feelings because if it was, who could stand.  It would be very difficult.

Which is why my faith is now often strengthened when I read about saints a million times more mature than I am in the faith.  Recently in Indonesia an Indonesian Evangelical Mission Church was set on fire by a militant Islamic mob.  The reported reason was that these militants were angry because there was a revival meeting that was to take place, and they didn't like that. So  local Muslims from the town of Siompi reduced the building to ashes in an attempt to wipe out those not bowing down to Allah in their province, which was the first in Indonesia to implement Shariah law, setting the precedent earlier this year.

Amazingly though despite this grave resistance, church members have moved their worship services to a local house, as they refuse to buckle under Muslim attacks.  Amazing faith isn't it?

Today please join me in thanking the Lord for the faith of Christians who do not bow the knee to any idol including their feelings.  May the Lord bless these precious saints with His peace and freedom.
