The Mass Media has its pros and cons. Like any tool we have, whether it be the written word to the big screen, it can be used for good or bad.
Our friend at Assist News Network, Dan Wooding posted the following report, Islamic Fundamentalist Mass Media Targets Egyptian Coptic Church:
CAIRO, EGYPT (ANS) -- A Middle East journalist is reporting that the majority of Coptic Christians and liberal Muslims in Egypt believe that Fundamentalist Sheikhs and their mass media have played a vital role in the latest wave of incitement against the Coptic Church, orchestrated by Egyptian State Security.
Mary Abdelmassih, writing for the Assyrian International News Agency (www.aina.org) said that the Salafi (one who follows the ways of the first Muslims) television channels, airing their programs from Egypt, supported by their affiliated fundamentalist journalists and mosque imams, have engaged in a coordinated smear campaign against the Coptic Church and its Pope, designed to terrorize the Copts.

The use of the current technologies to bring about persecution should not be a surprise to us as we grow closer to the second coming of Jesus Christ.
