What if you had a bible that had a stamp put on it that said, "This Good News [Malay] Bible is for use by Christians only" and you wanted to share that bible with someone who wasn't yet a follower of Christ Jesus? What if you were seen reading a bible that had those words, "...for use by Christians only" stamped on it, in a country where Christianity is persecuted and bibles are taken away? What if??? What would you do???
Compass Direct has a follow up story on this exact issue happening in Malaysia right now. It appears that at least 5100 bibles have been stamped with the message, "This Good News [Malay] Bible is for use by Christians only" without the consent of those who the bibles belong and to make matters worse the bibles must also carry a special serial number,the official seal of the department and a date.
Please pray for those in authority who are dealing with handling these precious bibles in Malaysia. Pray these bibles would be released and that the Christians there would be able to use them to share the love of Christ with whomever they are led to by the Holy Spirit, despite the defacement of the scriptures.
