Let the children come to Me.
Some of my friends at VOM recently took a trip to Ukraine. While there, they spent time ministering to children. They visited several orphanages and shared Jesus with kids. They also played with the children and spent some valuable time with them.
Those who went on the trip came back with lots of memories, touching stories and, of course, pictures! As I looked through the photos they brought back, I said a prayer for each child as well as the 300,000 other street children and orphans that are still in Ukraine.
Thanks to a new President, the spirit of the Ukrainian people and aid of relief workers, the situation in Ukraine is improving. One of VOM’s five main purposes is to help rebuild in formerly communist countries, and we are pleased to see current trends in Ukraine.
Pray Ukraine’s President will have wisdom as he fights child homelessness. Pray those Ukrainian people blinded by Communism will realize that they still have a responsibility to care for society’s outcasts. Pray the orphans and street children will find families and care that they desperately need. Finally, pray these unloved children can find perfect love through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
