Imprisonment Was Worth It
If you're like me then you have been following the story of the three Indonesian Sunday School teachers who were recently released. I'm not sure why this story has so impacted me, but it has, and so I was thrilled to read some coverage of these ladies today over at Christian Today
where they are saying their imprisonment was "worth it". Here are a few quotes regarding their stay.
“This is nothing compared with the suffering and persecution faced by others,” Dr. Rebekka Zakaria said to Open Doors U.K. “Compared with the Lord’s love and what He has given me, it is worth it.”
And...
The Christian women reportedly transformed the prison environment during their stay including cleaning the facilities and cells, gardening and even painting walls of the room they used for church meetings bright yellow and blue, according to Open Doors. They are also credited with calming the women’s section, which previously was filled with quarrelling.
And the ladies are still asking for our prayers. Please join me in continuing to remember them in your prayers.
