Imagine With Me for a Moment

Imagine with me for a moment that you were born in a country where you were born into a certain religion and you couldn't leave that religion. And imagine if you wanted to change to another faith and your government didn't want you to.

I can relate a little bit to this because when I was a child my parents baptised me into the Catholic Church as a baby and when I got older I decided that I wanted to become a Christian and attend a Protestant Church. My mother harshly opposed my decision because "I was a Catholic" and nothing was going to change that - in her eyes. Afterall, she told me what I was and it didn't matter what I wanted to be or believe.

Unfortunately, there are many people throughout the world who live under the same type of rule. According to The Voice of the Martyrs Kids of Courage website, "Bibles in the Malay language must have a note on the cover saying they are “not for Muslims.” By law, Malay people are considered Muslims when they are born. Government leaders do not want them to change to another faith later."

Can you imagine that?

Well, it is true.

Yet, let me encourage you because no one - not any government, or any man, or any policy can stop the Gospel of Jesus Christ from reaching those who are lost. No government or man or policy can stop the Holy Spirit from touching the hearts of those who truly want to seek after Truth and find the Truth. Nothing.

Yet, in man's arrogance and pride, many think they can. They think that they can silent the body of Christ. They think that they can kill Christians and persecute Christians and terrorize Christians and that as a result people will stop believing and following Jesus.

And they would be wrong.

The blood of the martyrs is what has caused the Church to grow throughout history and the Church will never be stopped.

Satan has lost the battle for man's souls because Jesus Christ conquered death.

Now imagine a world where Jesus hadn't done that?
