Families of Prisoners Need Your Help

When Salavat was in prison for his faith, his family had no food. Some of the local Christians were afraid they would be arrested if they helped his family. Others didn't know what had happened. The international community was unaware of his arrest at first, and during this time, his family nearly starved.

When our founder, Pastor Richard Wurmbrand, was in prison, the guards played a recording of a young boy screaming in pain in the adjacent cell. Pastor Wurmbrand was told they were beating his son.

When Esther learned that her mother and father had been arrested, she was angry with God and the Chinese communists. Then she prayed and realized her parents were honoring God with their sacrifice. Now she is asking for our help.

Since the founding of The Voice of the Martyrs in 1967, we have always sought to assist families of our brothers and sisters who are imprisoned for their faith. Retrieving the information on prisoners can often be challenging. However, this aspect of our service remains a top priority, and help is distributed throughVOM's Families of Prisoners Fund.
