Imagine with me for a second if your city government had decided to shut down your church and board it up so that you could not use it. What do you think your pastor would do? Would he just give up and say, "Okay folks, we're not having church any more" or do you think that he would call to keep having church except outside of the boarded up building? - I find this a thoughtful question to think about.
Unfortunately, this isn't a fake scenario for our brothers and sisters in Indonesia right now, because according to Compass Direct, this is basically what has happened to a church that not only was almost finished with building their church building, but they had also gotten the permits they were supposed to have.
The problem started when Muslims in the area decided that they wanted the church shut down, and consequently demonstrated against the church. Naturally, the government caved to the protesting by the Muslims.
