Christians Still Die (Sometimes)

A few weeks ago I was reading through the book of Daniel and when I got to chapter 6 I was amazed to see how the governors and commissioners began trying to find a way to accuse Daniel in regard to goverment affairs.  The good news is that they couldn't, the interesting news is that they decided to go after Daniel spiritually by setting up a secular law that would require he violate his obedience to God.

Does this sound familiar to anyone in our culture?  I think so.  Christians are under attack all over the world for their faith and trust in Jesus.  The good news is that, our spiritual father Daniel, gives us a great example of how to stand in the midst of persecution.

1.  Daniel knew what was happening in the culture around him and still continued to follow after His God.

2.  Daniel did not deny His God when he was brought to the Lion's Den.

3.  Daniel then testifies of God's faithfulness and deliverance from the lions, and he gives God all the praise.

4.  Then the law of the land was changed so that people were to fear and tremble before the God of Daniel.

Read the story for yourself, in Daniel 6, and then you be the one who God uses to change the culture around you.  It only takes one person to stand for what is right.
