Chinese Defector Tells His Story

Last week I shared with you the story about the Chinese defector who left the Chinese Communist Party.  Today I'd like you to read this story from the Epoch Times which details his reasons why.

Chen Yonglin, (pictured) says he left the Chinese Communist Party for the following three reasons.

1.   To Free Himself from the CCP’s Spiritual Control and the Persecution of Conscience.

2.  Fear of Severe Persecution on Returning to China because of Helping Falun Gong practitioners.

3.  Chen’s Support for China’s Democratic Movements and the Overthrow of the CCP’s Despotic Political Power.

If you read the underlying reasons for all of these you will note that freedom is the reason he defected.  Under the Chinese Communist Party he wasn't allowed to have friends, believe what he wanted or to do things that he did not want to do.  He was forced to do things against his conscience.

I think this is one brave man and I want to encourage you to pray for him and all of those who live under the oppressive governments in the world.
