Burmese Pastor Beheaded in Manipur, India
Our brethren at The Voice of the Martyrs Canada are highlighting this prayer request in this weeks email alert. Please remember VOM in your prayers and also the family of this beheaded pastor.
Rev. Pau Za Khen (62), pastor of the Upper Myanmar Evangelical Lutheran Church, was beheaded by an unidentified group in the town of Churachanpur, Manipur on July 5.
Pastor Khen was abducted from his daughter's home by four men on July 4. His decapitated body was found in a field outside of town the following morning. His hands were tied behind his back and he was blindfolded. Pray that Pau's loved ones will find comfort in the Lord.
Ask God to assure them that He is their Defender and a Father to the fatherless (Psalm 68:5; Psalm 10:17-18). Pray that Pau's murderers will find forgiveness in Christ as Saul did (Acts 9:1-19). For more information on persecution in India, go to www.persecution.net/country/india.htm.
