Bomb Intended to Tear Christians Apart Brings Them Together

Earlier this week I told you about how I love praying for Indonesia and so when this news came in from VOM Media I had to share it with you all.

Indo_tadius_in_operation_03 Four years after receiving injuries from the devastating explosion of a bomb left by Muslims near a Bible school they attended in Palu, Indonesia, two Indonesian Christians use the blast incident in their ministries to encourage others. When a large piece of shrapnel struck Tadeus in his upper left thigh near the hip joint, he was taken to the Salvation Army Hospital. Upon examining the patient, Dr. Bert discovered that Tadeus had a pulse in his left foot and could move his toes. Dr. Bert quickly requested the surgical team to cancel the scheduled amputation. Even though the injury was quite severe, Dr. Bert knew there was a possibility that Tadeus would some day be able to walk on his own leg. After many long and complicated surgical procedures, Indo_tadius_01 Tadeus is now walking on both his legs without the use of crutches. He is currently shepherding his own flock of believers in the dangerous Ambon area, where he is faithfully leading Muslims to Christ.

The other bomb survivor, Arman, also met with Dr. Bert that day. Dr. Bert was humbled when he met Arman, who told him with a beaming smile that he was so proud to suffer for Christ. When Dr. Bert unwrapped Aman’s wound, he saw that his forefoot had been blown off. Arman had already been to surgery for debridement and surgical amputation.Indo_arman VOMedical provided funds to bring about Arman’s recovery. Today, Arman is shepherding his own church in Indonesia after having completed his formal biblical training. He continues to encourage believers and even led the worship service at a VOMedical gathering of Christian Indonesian patients.Indo_arman_giving_sermon
