Bloody New Year for Christians

Just so you know terrorists and persecutors of Christians don't take a holiday from persecuting people they hate.  Unfortunately, I can't begin the new year with great news.  I wish I could say that no one was killed over the holiday weekend.  I wish I could say that all the people in the world came to a saving knowledge and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, but I can't.  Despite the fact that it is written that someday "... at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE SHOULD BOW, of those who are in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Phil 2:10)

The Christian Post is reporting a story today titled Laotian Missionary Murdered After Christmas Service which describes how missionary and now martyr Aroun Warapong’s body was found beaten and his throat slashed.  This is a heartbreaking story.

Another story that happened during the advent of the new year was an attack on Christians in Indonesia.  My friend J. Grant Swank wrote a great piece on that titled  BLOODY NEW YEAR FOR CHRISTIANS: INDONESIA .

Friends, please pray for peace in the world, and courage for our suffering family in Christ.
