Another Pastor Beaten In China Prison

If injustice bothers you than this story will definitely bother you.  The Voice of the Martyrs is reporting that Pastor Gong Shengliang of South China Church has been mercilessly beaten while in prison.  The attack happened on March 21st and was so bad that the Pastor has experienced hearing loss and couldn't move his mouth for at least three days.

To make the injustice even worse, when the Pastor reported the cruel incident prison officials removed the two merit points he earned last year and praised his attacker.

In 2001 Gong was charged with undermining law enforcement with a “heretical evil cult organization” when his death sentence was reduced to life imprisonment. A few years after he was imprisoned, in 2003, Gong nearly died from another brutal attack and lack of medical aid, when he almost lost all hearing in his left ear.

Pastor Gong is closely monitored by two prison guards around the clock and is allowed only one visit per month by his family. Since The Voice of the Martyrs posted him on PrisonerAlert.com in 2004, more than 2,000 encouraging letters were sent to Pastor Gong, along with approximately 800 e-mails to government officials advocating his release.
