A Radio Update on the Persecuted Church with Todd Nettleton

Screen shot 2011-11-11 at 12.55.52 PMYesterday Todd Nettleton appeared on In the Market with Janet Parshall to discuss the latest news concerning the persecuted church and the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church.

Janet and Todd discussed a little bit about Asia Bibi and shared the latest about her health and situation in jail.

Todd gave an update about going to the Pakistani Embassy in Washington DC, where he and a few others dropped off almost 500,000 petitions calling for mercy for Asia Bibi.

They also talked about the latest news concerning a pastor in China who is still in prison. Todd expressed the pastor's sentiments about being glad he wasn't released from jail. The pastor shared about how in China he could not do prison ministry, so he was happy to be able to stay in prison to minister to those in prison and share the gospel of Jesus Christ. What an eternal perspective!

Nigeria was also discussed because of the recent bombings in Nigeria, including nine churches. Todd shared the good news about the churches that were bombed, because even though they were bombed on Friday, the members of those churches went and worshipped in those churches on the following Sunday.

Todd also gave an update about Pastor Youcef, saying that two letters have been written by the local court to the Supreme Leader. Right now the court is saying that they will wait one month to see if the Supreme Leader will respond, and if he doesn't, they may make a decision about Pastor Youcef.
