Today I wanted to alert you to a new book that is in our The Voice of the Martyrs bookstore because some of you may recall the actual events that took place five years ago when three Christians were viciously murdered who worked in a Christian bookstore, in the nation of Turkey. At the time, the murders were so vicious that it made international news.
Todd Nettleton, who is the Director of Media Development for The Voice of the Martyrs (VOM), appeared on In the Market with Janet Parshall today and shared more information about this wonderful new book. If you missed the interview with Janet, click here to hear the archived show.
Note: If you're clicking after April 10th, you'll need to hit Janet's archives.
The new book is titled Faithful Unto Death: The Story of Necati Aydin, A Turkish Martyr for Christ and is written by Necati's brother in law. Here's a short description:
On April 18, 2007, Wolfgang Haede’s brother-in-law, Necati Aydin, and two other Christians were brutally murdered by five young men seeking to rid the country of Christians. In this personal account of his brother-in-law’s sacrifice, Wolfgang, who worked in Turkey for many years, explores the question of what is worth living and dying for. In the process, he also examines the deep historical roots of Christianity in Turkey, a nation that is culturally Muslim but officially secular. Read Faithful Until Death, and draw closer to Christ through the life of this modern martyr.
