How often do you share your faith in Christ? This is a question that I think about often, especially being in Christian ministry. Well, today I read this fascinating story over at the Kids of Courage website and it really convicted me, so I figured, why should I be alone in my conviction, so I'm sharing it with YOU!
The picture to your left is a woman named Mary Slessor who was a missionary to Nigeria. I read her story of how she ate this awful looking soup with fish heads - complete with eyes - so that she could share Jesus with those who were serving her this food.
Now, I don't know about you, but just the thought of looking at fish head and those eyes makes me want to vomit, and yet, here is a woman who loved the Lord so much she was willing to eat this food placed before her. I have to admit, I'm not like her in that way - and yet God used that incident in her life to touch many for Christ.
Read more about Mary here - I hope it challenges you like it did me.
Oh dear GOD that more of us will truly have a heart for the lost - locally and in every country - and be willing to tell them the wonderous truth that Jesus Christ is The Way, The Truth and The Life: and that no man cometh to the FATHER but by HIM. (John 14:6)
