Once again the Mission News Network delivers a piece of great news - and this fits perfect with the sermon I heard yesterday about the need for more Christians to pray. The visiting pastor I heard said yesterday that only 1% of Christians have a daily set time to pray. One percent - which is not surprising considering the decay in the church, at least in America. So reading this story really encouraged my heart.
Youth unite to pray for persecuted Christians International (MNN)--And, the youth outreach of Open Doors International is gearing up for a SHOCKWAVE. It's a global 72-hour prayer event for youth that will take place online as well as at prayer meetings throughout the world. Really, What do you think of what's going on in France ? Islam s' become the second religion after catholicism and before judaism. As I travelled to a lot of african coutries, most of which were muslem, I realized we french or we, christians, didn't have the right to do this or that because of the islamic religion. If we happened to leave the "good behavior way" we were put in jail or had to pay high penalties...
Now what's going on in France makes me ask a few questions. We see muslem women dressed in black, wearing sorts of "Burkas" and nobody cares. Would you, as a catholic woman, go along in the streets of an islamic country without wearing trousers ? I don't think so... Do we have to be that tolerant that we accept what others don't ? I'm wondering...
